Marshall High School Girls Win Fourth State Track Title in Six Years
Marshall High School's girls won the UIL Class 5A track and field state championships Friday at Mike A. Myers Stadium. This is the program's fourth title (2021, 2022, 2025, 2026) in six years.
FORT BEND ISD (May 18, 2026) -- Marshall High School's girls won the UIL Class 5A track and field state championships Friday at Mike A. Myers Stadium. This is the program's fourth title (2021, 2022, 2025, 2026) in six years.
The team won all three relay events. Zoe Kouaho, Phoenix Glover, Megan Thomas and Amira Mopkins received a gold medal in the 4x100-meter relay. Alayah Mouton, Glover, Kouaho and Amira Mopkins set a new Class 5A state record in the 4x200-meter. And, Corie Wilmington, Thomas, Mopkins and Alaya Stewart won the 4x400-meter relay.
Wilmington, a junior, captured a silver in the 300-meter hurdles and Glover, a sophomore, earned a bronze in the 200-meter dash.
The team's coach, Shahira Ehiemua, is a 2011 graduate of Marshall.
