FBISD Receives Highest Honor from Texas Educational Theatre Association

Fort Bend ISD has earned an Exemplary designation in the 2026 Texas Educational Theatre Association (TxETA) Award of Distinction Program, the highest honor awarded to school districts and campuses for excellence in theatre education.

FORT BEND ISD (June 24, 2026) – Fort Bend ISD has earned an Exemplary designation in the 2026 Texas Educational Theatre Association (TxETA) Award of Distinction Program, the highest honor awarded to school districts and campuses for excellence in theatre education.

Sartartia Middle School also received an Exemplary designation, recognizing its commitment to providing high-quality theatre education and opportunities for student participation.

The TxETA Award of Distinction Program honors schools and districts that advance theatre education through achievement, advocacy, diversity, and the development of resources that support student learning and engagement in the arts.

Fort Bend ISD and Sartartia Middle School will be recognized during the TxETA Award Ceremony at the annual TheatreFest conference on October 2 in Galveston.
