Campus and District Leadership Updates for 2026-27 School Year

Fort Bend ISD announced campus and district leadership changes for the 2026-27 school year. These leaders bring a wealth of experience and a commitment to student success.

FORT BEND ISD (June 24, 2026) – Fort Bend ISD announced campus and district leadership changes for the 2026-27 school year. These leaders bring a wealth of experience and a commitment to student success.

Principal of Madden Elementary – April Marsters  Marsters has worked in education for 23 years, all for FBISD. She spent the past 10 years at Rita Drabek Elementary, where she served as assistant principal before being named principal. 

Principal of Drabek Elementary - Justin Kowrach Kowrach is a graduate of FBISD, having attended Sugar Mill Elementary, Sugar Land Middle School and Kempner High School. He began his teaching career at the elementary school he attended as a student. Most recently, Kowrach served as principal of Lantern Lane Elementary.

Principal of Cornerstone Elementary - Carla Patton Patton has served in various teaching and administrative positions throughout her education career. In April 2022, she was named the founding principal of Alyssa Ferguson Elementary where she served until now.

Principal of Mission Elementary - Marion Thomas Thomas’ educational background began over 17 years ago in FBISD, where she has served as a teacher, math specialist, and Assistant Principal. Most recently she served as principal of Arizona Fleming Elementary.

Principal of Ferguson Elementary - Raymond “Anderson” Haas Haas graduated from FBISD’s Austin High School in 1999. Since beginning his career in 2003, he has served as a teacher, coach, department chair, and campus administrator. He most recently served as principal at Dulles Elementary.

Principal of Lexington Creek Elementary - Jaimie Geis Geis has worked her entire career in FBISD where she started as a middle school teacher and then campus administrator. Both her sons graduated from FBISD. She has served as an elementary principal for 12 years, most recently at Sugar Mill Elementary.  Principal of Palmer Elementary - Audrey Macklin This year marks Macklin’s 28th year in FBISD where she has worked as a teacher, reading specialist, Title I specialist, and an assistant principal. She began her path to education in the Air Force as an air traffic controller and later earned degrees from the University of Houston. Most recently, Macklin served as principal of Austin Parkway Elementary,

Principal of Crockett Middle School - Dr. Alexis Prudhomme Prudhomme’s career has focused on supporting elementary students and at-risk youth. Her journey with FBISD began as a second-grade teacher and then as assistant principal at Lakeview Elementary. Most recently she served as principal of Cornerstone Elementary. Prior to FBISD, she taught second and third grades, worked as a resource teacher, and served as an instructional coach and mentor teacher.

Assistant Director of Communications - Carlos Lewis Lewis has held roles including teacher, instructional specialist, assistant principal, and most recently principal of Ridgegate Elementary. He joined FBISD as an assistant principal in 2019 after previous experience with other Houston-area school districts.

Director of Assessment and Accountability - Lavanta Williams This year, Williams begins his 28th year in education. He has served as a classroom teacher, science specialist, GED instructor, assistant principal, and campus principal. In 2022, Williams was named FBISD’s Elementary Principal of the Year.

These leaders will assume their new roles in July 2026.
