FBISD’s Secondary District Teacher of the Year Named Finalist in Regional Program

Fort Bend ISD’s 2026 Secondary Teacher of the Year Shenoa Cramer was named a finalist in Region IV’s Teacher of the Year program.

Cramer teaches theatre arts at Sugar Land Middle School, where she also serves as Head Theatre Director and incoming Fine Arts Chair.

Throughout her 13-year career as an educator, she has focused on building strong programs, developing student leaders, and creating opportunities for students to grow skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

Among her many achievements, Cramer is particularly passionate about her Succeeding in Academic and Independent Life Skills (SAILS) Inclusion Theatre Class.

In collaboration with counselors and the special education department on her campus, Cramer’s inclusive theatre class was born – a place where dedicated general education students serve as peer leaders and learn alongside their SAILS partners.

“It is a joy to watch our SAILS students laugh, create, and learn in an environment designed for them,” she said. “But the most surprising impact has been the growth of my general education students who support their peers.”

The program continues to grow as an established part of her campus theatre program and serves as a model for other campuses in the district.

Cramer advanced to the regional competition after being named FBISD’s Secondary Teacher of the Year this spring.

If chosen as Region IV’s Secondary Teacher of the Year, Cramer will advance to the Texas Teacher of the Year Program.
