FBISD Fine Arts Ensembles Invited to Perform at State and National Conferences

FBISD Fine Arts Ensembles Invited to Perform at State and National Conferences
FORT BEND ISD (October 10, 2025) – Four Fort Bend ISD fine arts ensembles were selected to perform at upcoming state and national music education conferences, a prestigious honor that showcases the talent of FBISD students and directors.
The Crockett Middle School Honors Orchestra, under the direction of Brian Hairston and Andrew Adams-Whitehead, was selected by the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) as the 2026 Invited Spotlight Middle School Orchestra. The orchestra will perform a concert at the TMEA convention in San Antonio in February 2026.
The First Colony Middle School Select Tenor Bass Choir, directed by Tommie Trinh and Joshua Sarmiento, and the Ridge Point High School Chorale, directed by Chelsea Berner and Stewart Gaitan-Garcia, are invited to perform at the 2026 Southwestern Division of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico, scheduled for March 2026.
The Elkins High School Percussion Ensemble, directed by Christopher Dial, was selected to perform at the Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago in December.
