UIL Academics

University Interscholastic League (UIL) Academics is a program which  draws some of the most talented high school students in Texas to local competitions and also to the State Meet in Austin, Texas.  Students may choose to compete in a number of rigorous events vying for the title of State Champs and also becoming eligible for TILF scholarships.  

Competitions at the high school level include: One Act Play, CX Debate, Lincoln Douglass Debate, Accounting, Calculator Applications, Computer Applications, Current Issues & Events, Literary Criticism, Mathematics, Number Sense, Ready Writing, Science, Spelling & Vocabulary, Editorial Writing, Feature Writing, Headline Writing, News Writing, Social Studies, Informative Speaking, Persausive Speaking, Poetry Interpretation, and Prose Interpretation.
