UIL A+ Academics

UIL A+ Academics is an academic competition for elementary and middle school students. A+ Academics includes 20 different events for grades 2-8. These events span the curriculum – they are designed to complement and expand upon what students learn in the classroom, both through learning specific subject knowledge, and through learning skills that are valuable in many disciplines.

This year  FBISD students will have the opportunity to participate in Number Sense, Oral Reading, Storytelling, Music Memory, Art, and Creative Writing events: 

• Art - 4^th and 5^th Grades
• Creative Writing – 2^nd Grade
• Music Memory – 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th Grades
• Number Sense - 4^th and 5^th Grades
• Oral Reading – 4^th and 5^th Grades
• Storytelling – 2^nd and 3^rd Grades

 

Campus event coaches prepare students for competitions. There are 2 meets this year: Invitational (November 15, 2025) and District (TBD)
