National History Day
Participation in the National History Day Contest gives students in grades 6 – 12 the opportunity to take a deep dive into history, focusing on historical research while having the opportunity to become writers, filmmakers, web designers, playwrights and artists to create unique, modern-day expressions and interpretations of history.
The 2025-2026 theme is Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History. Students can showcase their talents in 5 categories at the recent Fort Bend Regional History Day contest: exhibit, website, documentary, paper and performance. Students from all over Fort Bend County, including those from Fort Bend ISD, Katy ISD, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, and home-schools participate in the contest at both the junior (grades 6-8) and senior (grades 9-12) levels.
Registration for the 2026-2027 contest will be available from January 1, 2027, to January 30, 2027.
Information on the location and date of the Fort Bend Regional History Day will be added to this webpage soon.
