Recognition for Your Impact. The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) provides an opportunity to be recognized and rewarded for excellence in teaching. Through TIA, highly effective teachers can earn a designation and additional compensation.

What Is TIA?
TIA is a statewide initiative that allows districts to identify and reward highly effective teachers based on local criteria.
Teachers may earn a designation based on:
- Classroom observation and performance
- Student growth measure
- Schoolwide growth
Designations may include:
- Acknowledged
- Recognized
- Exemplary
- Master
Each designation level provides additional compensation and opportunities for professional growth.

How It Works?
Teacher designations will be determined through the data sources from the system components. Each eligible teacher will receive a composite score calculated from these data sources. The data sources and the weight is factored into the composite score, include:
- Teacher Observation Performance: T-TESS Domains 2 & 3 (30%)
- Student Growth Measure: 50%
- Optional Components: T-TESS Domains 1 & 4 (10%) and STAAR Schoolwide Growth Performance (10%)
