What You Can Expect
About the Navigate Program
- Navigate is Fort Bend ISD's mentorship and induction program for leaders who are new to a central office role in FBISD
- Grounded in the district's commitment to ensuring leaders are equipped with the knowledge and skills to be effective in their roles — ultimately leading to improved student outcomes
- Designed to help new district leaders understand FBISD's systems, culture, and expectations while building the relationships they need to do their work well
Ambassador Match
- Each new district leader is matched with an experienced FBISD leader who serves as a dedicated Ambassador throughout the induction period
- Ambassadors provide individualized support tailored to the specific role, department, and context of the new leader
- The Ambassador relationship is non-evaluative — a trusted space for honest questions and candid guidance
Ongoing Learning and Support
- In addition to Ambassador support, new district leaders receive structured onboarding to Fort Bend ISD systems, processes, and culture
- Ongoing learning opportunities and individualized support are provided during the new leaders first six months
- The Induction & Mentorship team provides touchpoints throughout the year to ensure new leaders feel connected and supported
