Student Observers are individuals who visit classrooms to learn from real teaching environments. These short-term experiences allow participants to see effective instruction, classroom routines, and student engagement in action.
This is often the first step for those exploring a career in education before committing to a teacher preparation program.

Why Start Here
Student Observations provide participants a way to receive their field-base hours by exploring teaching and build foundational understanding before moving into more structured programs like student teaching or teacher residency through an approved Educator Preparation Program (EPP).
What Comes Next
After completing observation hours, many participants continue their path through:
- Student Teaching (unpaid, hands-on teaching experience)
- Paid Teacher Residency (earn while you learn)
- Complete the ACP Program
