Paid Teacher Residents
The Paid Teacher Residency program allows aspiring educators to earn a salary while gaining hands-on teaching experience and completing certification.
Residents are employed by Fort Bend ISD and supported every step of the way as they prepare to lead their own classroom.
Who This Is For
Candidates pursuing undergraduate degree in Education through an Educator Preparation Program (EPP) that FBISD has an existing partnership and interested in gaining paid, real-world teaching experience.
Please note: FBISD only accepts Teacher Residents from approved EPPs with which the district has an established partnership.

If your Educator Preparation Program (EPP) is not listed on our Partnership list, we encourage you to reach out to your university's field experience or clinical placement office. Fort Bend ISD only accepts student teachers and teacher residents from EPPs with whom we have an active partnership.
