➤  EQUIPPED Optional Insurance for 2026–2027 School Year 

• FBISD recommends purchasing insurance each school year to protect the student’s EquippED laptop against accidental damage, loss, or theft.
• Insurance must be purchased annually — coverage does not automatically renew or carry over from a previous school year.
• Retain the RevTrak Webstore confirmation receipt emailed to you as proof of coverage for any future claims.

➤  Coverage Details — EQUIPPED Insurance Includes:

• Up to 2 repairs per year — covered 100%.
• 1 total loss per year (lost, stolen, or unrepairable device) covered 100% after a $150 deductible.
• Open Enrollment Window for current student:  July 13, 2026 – August 25, 2026
• Coverage is valid through August 15, 2027.

• Standard Price: $35
• Free/Reduced-Price Meals Discount: $15

Note: Select the $15 discounted rate only if your student has been approved by the Child Nutrition Department for Free or Reduced-Price Meals for 2026–2027. Otherwise, the purchase will be placed on hold and coverage will not be activated. Apply at www.schoolcafe.com/fbisd.

➤  Please Be Aware:

• Laptop insurance is offered exclusively to secondary students.
• For multiple students, add a separate insurance payment for each student before proceeding to checkout.
• Before checkout, confirm the correct student, campus, price, and item.
• Enter the student’s correct six-digit Student ID without any leading zeros. Do not include any leading zeros, as an incorrect ID may prevent the student’s account from being located in RevTrak Webstore.

To purchase laptop insurance, visit the RevTrak Webstore

1. Enter the student’s last name.
2. Enter the correct six-digit Student ID number without leading zeros.
3. Select the student’s home campus.
4. Select the payment amount from the Price drop-down menu.
5. Click “ADD STUDENT OR STAFF ACCOUNT”.
6. After the student is added, select the appropriate price.
7. Click “ADD TO CART”.
8. Review the student, item, and amount before completing checkout.

➤   Late Purchase Insurance: Inspection Required

A laptop inspection by the FBISD Technology team is required before coverage can be activated.

•  Inspection Required: After purchasing insurance, the student must take the laptop to the campus EquippED 1:1 Laptop Support location, typically located in the library, for inspection by the FBISD Technology team.
• Coverage Pending: The insurance status will remain Pending until the inspection is completed and approved. Any pre-existing damage identified during the inspection will not be covered.
• Confirmation: After the inspection, the student will receive an email at their district email address with the inspection results and confirmation that coverage has been activated.
