➤ Student Laptop Responsibilities
Students who receive a laptop must follow the Acceptable User Agreement which outlines the expectations for using district technology safely, ethically, responsibly, and respectfully.
Important
Students are responsible for their assigned laptop and all accessories at all times, including preventing others from accessing, misusing, or damaging them.
- Handle the device carefully and protect it from loss, theft, and damage.
- Keep the laptop secure and never leave it unattended. Loss or damage caused by negligence may not be covered by insurance.
- Bring the laptop to school fully charged each day.
- Promptly report technical issues, damage, loss, or theft to the campus.
- Use only the laptop assigned to the student and do not allow others to use it.
- Keep food and drinks away from the device.
- Store and transport the laptop in its protective case.
- Do not remove, cover, or damage district labels, barcodes, or asset tags.
- Do not install unauthorized software or alter security settings.
- Do not place heavy objects on the laptop or carry it by the screen.
- Return the laptop and all assigned accessories when requested, upon withdrawal, or at graduation. Failure to return the laptop may result in a $560 replacement charge and is not covered by insurance.
