EquippED Fort Bend ISD 1:1 Initiative with laptop
EquippED: Technology for Learning

We are excited to announce the implementation of a 1:1 student laptop program for all secondary students beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. Each student in grades 6–12 will receive a district-issued laptop to support academic learning and personal growth.

The laptop will remain assigned to the student while enrolled in Fort Bend ISD and may be taken home for online learning, research, communication, and collaboration. Each device includes advanced endpoint protection software to support student safety, data security, and the district network.

The student 1:1 laptop program supports our district's vision of preparing students for their future. It aligns with our instructional goal of providing differentiated learning opportunities that promote purposeful technology integration. The program will also foster student agency and voice while enhancing student engagement and achievement. We believe this program will help empower our students to become lifelong learners and leaders.
