Extended Learning Employment Opportunities

Fort Bend ISD’s Extended Learning Department is hiring for 2026-2027!

FBISD’s Extended Learning programs provide a safe environment for elementary and middle school students with developmentally appropriate activities and offer flexible work schedules that are great for high school and college students, retirees and others who are interested in part-time employment supporting students.

The department is currently looking for:

Group Leaders who have a high school diploma, GED or college transcript. Group Leaders are paid $15.20 an hour, and experience working with children is preferred.
Student Assistants, a position exclusively offered to FBISD high school seniors. Student Assistants are paid $10 an hour and work after their school day.

Both positions work an average of 18.5 hours per week.

Basic computing skills, including MS office required

Assistant Site Coordinator

Part-time; Benefits Eligible
High School Diploma or GED College transcript accepted in lieu of High School Diploma or GED
Associate's Degree or 60 hours from an accredited college or university preferred
Certification in Child Care preferred
Minimum of 1 year of childcare experience preferred
Minimum of 1 year of management and supervisory experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of child development theories and practices related to the physical, intellectual and social development of pre-school and school-age students
Proficient in general computing skills, including MS Office
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both orally and written
