Early Education Lab Employee Childcare

Disclaimer: Our team is currently pursuing childcare licensing through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission Child Care Regulation. The opening of The Early Education Lab at the Reese Center depends on receiving official state childcare licensing approval.

Families should not withdraw from their current childcare arrangements until our license is formally approved and posted on our website. If licensing is not approved, all registration fees will be refunded.

It’s a Win to Work in FBISD! The Early Education Lab at the Reese Center is a Fort Bend ISD–operated childcare center created to support staff recruitment, retention, and work-life balance. Opening July 29, 2026, this pilot program is designed exclusively for FBISD staff and serves children ages 24–47 months on or before July 29, 2026.

• May 22, 2026: Registration opens in EZChild Track at 11:59 pm

• July 23, 2026: Open House 5:00 pm

• July 29, 2026: Fall In Love with the Early Education Lab 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

• July 30, 2026: First Day of Childcare

• January 4, 2027: Teacher Planning Early Education Lab Closed

• Registration and Licensing

  • Registration opens Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (first-come, first-served) 
  • Register at www.ezchildtrack.com/FBISDEarlyChildhood/parent 

    • Employee parents must use their Fort Bend ISD email to create an account. 

    • Grandchildren of employees must be registered by their parent/guardian using their personal e-mail. Employee grandparent must email proof of EZChild Track registration to TheEarlyEducationLab.Reese@fortbendisd.gov once the parent/guardian has submitted it.

    • Submit required documentation: 
      • Birth certificate
      • Current immunization records 
      • Physician’s statement of health
      • Food allergy emergency plan, if applicable  

  ALL documents must be emailed to TheEarlyEducationLab.Reese@fortbendisd.gov by July 15, 2026, if not available during registration.

Program Overview (Pilot Year) 

• Eligibility: Children and grandchildren of Fort Bend ISD staff only 

• Ages served: 24–47 months on or before July 29, 2026 
• Capacity: Up to 33 children 

• Child–adult ratio: 11:1 

Hours and Calendar 

• July 29, 2026 – May 28, 2027 

• Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. during the school year

• June 1, 2027- July 22, 2027

• Monday–Thursday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. *Opening is subject to change based on interest

• Follows the Fort Bend ISD school calendar, including holidays and professional learning days 

Tuition Information 

• $100 non-refundable registration fee
• $900 per month (no meals)

• Enrollment in the FBISD Employee Childcare Program is limited to children of current Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD) employees, including eligible parent/guardian and/or grandparent employees. If you are not a current Fort Bend ISD employee, please do not complete the EZChildTrack registration. Registration fees collected from non-employees are non-refundable.

• $1,150 per month (meals included)
• Payments are split and due on the 1st and 15th of each month via EZChildTrack
• 10% sibling discount
