The Early Education Lab at Reese

The Early Education Lab at the Reese Center is part of the FBISD Career and Technical Education program for high school students who wish to pursue a career in teaching. The program provides opportunities for students to observe children and gain experience in early childhood education.

The Early Education Lab at the Reese Center is open to students that meet enrollment eligibility and has LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE, FIRST COME FIRST SERVE for the 2025-2026 School Year.

Your child must meet the following criteria to qualify for the PreK program at FBISD

• Meet Tuition-based Pre-K Qualifications
• Must be four years old on or before September 1, 2025, for the 2025-26 school year
• Must be a Fort Bend ISD resident or ONE of the following: 
• The student is identified as a Language Learner by the state-required language assessment. Students qualifying by language will be tested to determine placement in the program.
  • Qualify according to the Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines. Use this calculator to figure out if your household qualifies by income. Parents must bring current proof of income/documentation for all adults in the household (at least one month of income/30 days from the day of registration), including current check stubs, child support statement of payment, or SNAP qualification letter, etc.)
  • Be homeless, or have current or previous conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services
  • Is the dependent child of an active U.S. Armed Forces member, or the dependent of a U.S. Armed Forces member that has been injured or killed while on active duty
  • It is a dependent of a police officer, firefighter, or emergency medical responder seriously injured or killed in the line of duty and who receives the Star of Texas Award.

1. Complete Online Registration in Skyward Family Access 

Complete the online application in Family Access using the following links: 

Families new to FBISD  or Existing FBISD Family  

Select the following campuses: Walker Station Elementary School  

2. Upload or Submit Required Documentation 

Upload to Skyward, email, or deliver the following documentation to the ADA clerk during the registration process:  

• Original Birth Certificate 
• Social Security card for children, when available
• Parent/Guardian unexpired photo ID such as a passport, driver's license, or government-issued photo ID  
• Child's health record/ required immunization record

3. Register in EZChildTrack 

Open an account EZChildTrack, using your Fort Bend ISD email address, and select the pre-kindergarten Tuition Based Program. EZChildTrack platform will process the initial application and collect monthly fees. The selection of a different program will delay processing time.  Due to the high volume of applications, this process may take up to 7 school days. 

 4. Accept Billing and Participation Policy  

By enrolling their children in the Tuition-Based program, parents will adhere to the following policies: 

• The Pre-K Tuition-Based program fee is $645.00 per month.
• FBISD Employee Pre-K Tuition-Based program fee is $619.00 per month.
• Credit card payments made through EZChildTrack receive a three-day grace period before late fees apply.
• Tuition is due on the 1st day of each month.   
• There is a late fee of $10 per day for payments not received by the 1st of the month.   
• Failure to pay tuition fees by the 12th day of the month will result in the student being withdrawn from the Pre-K Tuition-Based program.

5. E-mail EZChildTrack Confirmation

Once you complete the registration process and pay the corresponding fees, the EZChild Track will email you an automated confirmation receipt. Please forward this communication to TheEarlyEducationLab.Reese@fortbendisd.gov.

6. Register for Before and After School Program - Optional 

Tuition-based Pre-K and Early Ed Lab Before & After School fees will be collected through the EZChildTrack platform.
