FBISD Mental Health Referral Process

Mental health referrals for on campus therapy are initiated by the campus counselor after obtaining written permission from the parent/guardian as part of the Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework. Through this process, counselors work closely with students, families, and staff to identify needs and determine appropriate supports.

If parents or guardians believe their student may benefit from mental health therapy, they are encouraged to contact their campus counselor directly. The counselor can discuss concerns, review available resources, and determine next steps to ensure students receive the support they need.
