Ratings Overview
Fort Bend ISD is proud to announce the Texas Education Agency (TEA) awarded the district a "B" rating for the 2024–25 school year under its accountability rating system – a letter-grade improvement from last year’s “C” rating. TEA’s accountability ratings evaluate Texas school districts based on student achievement, school progress and efforts to close learning gaps.
The increased rating reflects academic progress across the district. Sixty-eight percent of FBISD campuses were rated an A or B – 24 campuses earned an A and 30 earned a B. And 28 campuses improved by at least one letter grade.

The number of campuses that earned an A or B this year increased by 12 campuses; the number of campuses who were rated a C, D or F decreased by 12.
Performance Highlights by Elementary, Middle and High Schools
Elementary Campuses
- 70% earned an A or B rating (37 out of 53 campuses)
- Fifteen campuses increased by at least one letter grade
- F-rated campuses decreased from three to zero
Middle School Campuses
- 73% earned an A or B rating (11 out of 15 campuses)
- Eight campuses increased by at least one letter grade
- D-rated campuses decreased from two to one
High School Campuses
- 50% earned an A or B rating (6 out of 12 campuses)
- 11 campuses maintained and/or increased their letter grade
- D-rated campuses decreased from 4 to 2
Campus Distinctions
In addition, the total number of campus distinctions increased to 149 this year compared to 137 in 2024. Individual schools may earn distinctions in seven areas including English Language Arts/Reading; Mathematics; Science; Social Studies; Student Progress; Closing the Gaps; and Postsecondary Readiness.
FBISD campuses increased in five of the seven academic distinction areas.
Room for Improvement - Transparency
Last year, district administrators identified 20 campuses who were not performing to their full potential and committed to be intentional, thoughtful and add value to these schools during the 2024-25 school year.
Among these focus campuses, 8 out of 10 elementary campuses, 3 out of 5 middle schools and 1 out of five high schools increased at least one letter grade.
