Mission
The mission of the International Business & Marketing Academy (IBMA) is to prepare students to become innovative, ethical, and globally minded leaders by providing a challenging academic experience enriched with business, marketing, and entrepreneurship education. Through rigorous coursework, real-world learning experiences, leadership development, and industry partnerships, students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in college, careers, and an ever-changing global economy.
IBMA empowers students to think critically, communicate effectively, solve complex problems, and lead with integrity while exploring opportunities in business, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, and related career fields.
Purpose/Overview
The International Business & Marketing Academy (IBMA) offers a four-year sequence of courses that prepare students for success in business, marketing, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Students build foundational business knowledge before applying their skills through authentic, real-world experiences.
Freshman Year

Junior Year

Students must participate in at least ONE advanced-level course each school year.

Throughout the program, students develop skills in business operations, marketing, entrepreneurship, digital productivity, financial literacy, communication, leadership, teamwork, and professional problem-solving. Classroom learning is enhanced through guest speakers, industry partnerships, field experiences, business competitions, leadership opportunities, and project-based learning that prepares students for college, careers, and future business success.
Academy Expectations
- Academy students must be enrolled in the appropriate sequence of academy and academic courses as outlined in the program guidelines at all times.
- Academy students must maintain a 75 or higher in all academy specific courses.
- Academy students must maintain a 70 or higher in all other courses.
- Academy students must complete 12.5 hours of community service each semester for a total of 25 hours per school year as approved by the Academy Coordinator.
- Academy students must participate in at least one enrichment activity per grading period as outlined by the Academy Coordinator.

Course offerings are subject to change in the event that the Texas Education Agency makes changes to approved courses and/or due to low enrollment.
