Program Requirements

Students in the International Business & Marketing Academy (IBMA) are expected to fully participate in the academy experience throughout all four years of high school. Academy members are held to high academic, leadership, and professional standards.

Students are expected to:

  • Successfully complete the required IBMA Academy course sequence.
  • Maintain good academic standing and make consistent progress toward graduation.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, and integrity in both academics and academy activities.
  • Participate in required academy meetings, workshops, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Complete a minimum of 100 documented community service hours during the four-year program.
  • Participate in leadership opportunities and academy-sponsored events, including the annual L.I.F.E. event held in the Spring. (Learning via Interactive Financial Education)
  • Engage in career exploration through guest speakers, field experiences, and industry partnerships.
  • Complete the senior-year Entrepreneurship Practicum, applying business and marketing knowledge to real-world experiences.
  • Follow all Fort Bend ISD Student Code of Conduct expectations and academy participation guidelines.

By meeting these expectations, students graduate with valuable leadership experience, practical business and marketing skills, and a competitive advantage for college, careers, and future entrepreneurial opportunities.
